You can be banned again by that same moderator in about two seconds. This exercise will just create a period where those determined to shape their threads a certain way will have to go back and push some buttons. Maybe if you never post there again they won't bother, which achieves the moderator's initial aim anyway. The only upside I see is that bans from inactive moderators will all be erased. But that could be accomplished easily without going through the rigamarole of new offensive posts leading to new bans, or simply new bans issued because someone doesn't like you based on your posts elsewhere. That's how the world works - you get to say what you want and others then decide whether to keep listening. No one has an unlimited "right" to get in someone else's face. I suspect more than a few people would find this particular post ugly, but you think it's virtuous. Good luck with that. SI has some very active unregulated toilet bowls where posters can do that all day along, if that's what turns you on.
