Im not sure how many members Si has or how many lurkers. I suggested to the Webmistress Jill that a counter on all the threads would be interesting just to know roughly how many people read any particular post but apparently it would involve alot of computer work, maybe eventually.
An individual may of course be a fool, one sided, have a hidden agenda etc et al but to call everyone on SI one thing weither it be saint or sinner is pure folly.
The status quo always hates change. With good reason it cuts into their pocket books. Newsletter writers dont like the internet because it is taking away buisness. The brokers dont like it for the same reason. Companies often dont like it because there actions come under scrutinee.
Lets face it alot of people would be quite happy if it disappeared entirely but if it did I would say we were in real trouble.
regards Walt

I highly doubt that John Woods thinks we're all a bunch of morons. Ask Adrian about him. JW has done a lot of good for the internet, and I hope he does well off it.

Actually, I've seen the odd moron around here, and I hope I'm relatively sober next time they put me on national TV, otherwise I just might mention it.

........ cheers .............. macros

PS ... Walt-- I will never again buy a stock without sussing it out on the internet, specifically on SI. Take away the internet and I'm outta here.....
