Wendy Davis heroically used her husband as an ATM to pay for Harvard, heroically cheated on him, heroically divorced him after using him to get the last loan payment and heroically dumped the kids on him.

Wendy Davis Heroically Cheated on Her Husband, Stayed With Him Till He Paid Off Her Student Loans

She also heroically sacrificed to obey the court order not to use drugs or alcohol w/I 24 hours of visiting her daughters.

Wendy Davis is a hero because she wore pink sneakers while holding a filibuster in support of murdering children. Then Melissa Harris Perry wore tampon earrings on MSNBC in support of Wendy Davis and also became a hero. It’s easy to be a hero these days.[iframe name="aswift_0" width="300" height="250" id="aswift_0" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" vspace="0" hspace="0" style="left: 0px; top: 0px; position: absolute;" allowtransparency="true"][/iframe]

Now Wendy Davis is heroically running for governor in Texas and the media keeps calling her heroic because of her amazingly heroic life story.

A single mother working two jobs, she met Jeff Davis, a lawyer 13 years older than her, married him and had a second daughter. He paid for her last two years at Texas Christian University and her time at Harvard Law School, and kept their two daughters while she was in Boston.

When they divorced in 2005, he was granted parental custody, and the girls stayed with him. Wendy Davis was directed to pay child support.

In his initial divorce filing, Jeff Davis said the marriage had failed, citing adultery on her part and conflicts that the couple could not overcome. The final court decree makes no mention of infidelity, granting the divorce solely “on the ground of insupportability.”

When she was accepted to Harvard Law School, Jeff Davis cashed in his 401(k) account and eventually took out a loan to pay for her final year there….

Over time, the Davises’ marriage was strained. In November 2003, Wendy Davis moved out.

Jeff Davis said that was right around the time the final payment on their Harvard Law School loan was due. “It was ironic,” he said. “I made the last payment, and it was the next day she left.”

Wendy Davis’ amazing heroic life story includes heroically using her husband as an ATM to pay for Harvard, heroically cheating on him, heroically divorcing him after using him to get the last loan payment and heroically dumping their kids on him.[iframe name="aswift_1" width="300" height="250" id="aswift_1" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" vspace="0" hspace="0" style="left: 0px; top: 0px; position: absolute;" allowtransparency="true"][/iframe]

A former colleague and political supporter who worked closely with Davis when she was on the council said the body’s work was very time-consuming.

“Wendy is tremendously ambitious,” he said, speaking only on condition of anonymity in order to give what he called an honest assessment. “She’s not going to let family or raising children or anything else get in her way.”

Wendy Davis really is the perfect poster child to campaign for abortion. I wonder which of her daughters she wishes she would have killed.

Oops: Abortion Queen Wendy Davis Caught In Lies
..............................................................................................
Wendy Davis’ ex-husband: “They’ve asked me not to talk to reporters”

by William A. Jacobson Monday, January 20, 2014

But he didn’t listen to the campaign, and the result is the implosion of Wendy Davis’ personal and political narratives

Here’s the key thing.

The Wendy Davis campaign has been trying to keep Jeff Davis from speaking to the press for months. According to the Houston Chronicle article (emphasis added):

“They’ve asked me not to talk to reporters,” Jeff said. He is anyway, because: “If she runs, the scrutiny on her will be extraordinary. She needs to deal with it in a constructive way. She needs to take control of the message. … My goal in all this, I think, is just try and protect the kids as much as I can.”

Now we know why. Wendy Davis’ personal and campaign narratives don’t hold up to scrutiny.

Davis’ ex-husband saw it coming. And so did the Davis campaign, which tried to keep him quiet.

Only the progressive movement and the big money donors didn’t have a clue as to what they were buying into.

Wendy Davis Slams Pro-Life Paraplegic Opponent: He’s “Never Walked In My Shoes”

Life Site News ^ | January 21, 2014 | Steven Ertelt

It’s just getting worse and worse for abortion activist Wendy Davis, who is falling on her own sword in the Texas gubernatorial race. First, Davis was caught by a Dallas newspaper lying about her story of being a single mom who overcame adversity. Then, she sought to blame her problems on pro-life candidate for governor Greg Abbott. Now, in attacking Abbot, she’s stuck her foot in her mouth saying he’s “never walked a mile in my shoes.”

Problem is, Abbott can’t. He’s a paraplegic who is confined to a wheelchair.

[Snip]

Patrick Archbold at Creative Minority Report opines on the Davis gaffe.

So as liars tend to do when cornered, they lie some more, attacking her opponent as being the one responsible for the truth coming out about her lies. She criticized himWell, that is correct. He never walked a day in her shoes because he is a paraplegic. Her poor opponent will never know how difficult things have been for her.
Suffice it to say, Abortion Barbie is still having a very bad week.

At age 26, Abbott was struck by a falling oak tree that injured his back as he jogged by. He has used a wheelchair ever since and has become an eloquent pro-life advocate — speaking up for both the disabled and the unborn. The accident serves as a reminder that regardless of someone’s circumstances, he or she deserves a chance at life, Abbott has said.

Woman killed in front of mother during Philly purse-snatching -----VIDEO

It had been a pleasant Sunday for Stephanie and Amber Long: a shopping trip where they picked out a $14 purse, an evening jewelry party. And now, mother and daughter were making their way home.

It was around 10:30 p.m., and they were walking to their car, parked on a Belgian block-paved stretch of Front Street in Northern Liberties where ritzy new apartments share space with vacant lots.

On the last day of her life, 26-year-old Amber, an architect who lived in South Philadelphia, had parked near a friend's house. She and her mother, Stephanie, a jeweler from Harrisburg who often visited her daughter, were steps from their car.

That's when two men approached from behind.

One snatched Stephanie Long's purse. The other went for the bag Amber had picked out with her mother.

Amber held on.

There was a loud pop.

And Stephanie Long turned to see Amber on the ground with a gunshot wound in her chest.

Witnesses nearby would later tell police they heard the mother scream: "They shot my daughter."

Patrol officers arriving on the scene lifted Amber into the back of a squad car, and Stephanie Long cradled her daughter as they raced to Hahnemann University Hospital.

Doctors pronounced her dead 45 minutes later.

On Monday, police had two men "of interest" in custody and believed they were closing in on making arrests. A search warrant was served at a dilapidated house on North Camac Street in the Fern Rock section on Monday night.

Earlier Monday, police had received a tip that there were some people in the home with Stephanie Long's purse and credit cards. They also had a gun.

The two men "of interest" were taken into custody at the house, and police later escorted two women from the house, where broken windows gaped and a screen door sagged from its hinges.

By Monday night, sources said police had interviewed six people.

Homicide Capt. James Clark said the men matched the killers' description.

The two, Clark said, were "very well known to police."

"Hopefully, we'll be able to make an arrest soon," Clark said. "We're still putting some pieces of the puzzle together."

Amber Long was her parents' only child.

A native of Williamsport, Pa., home of the Little League World Series, she moved to Philadelphia for college and ended up staying, working for a local construction firm and moving into a second-floor apartment on a quiet street in South Philadelphia.

She was passionate about art and her architecture degree from Philadelphia University. She was close with her mother, who shared her artistic streak and visited the city often.

In the aftermath of her death, her family was reeling. Her mother stayed inside her daughter's apartment on Ritner Street. Her father, Troy, arrived Monday afternoon to identify her body.

"They are taking it really, really hard," said Berlinda Lancaster, her aunt.

Stephanie Long said Monday afternoon that she could not bear to talk about her daughter's killing anymore.

Lancaster described her niece as a petite and quiet girl with a free spirit, a former gymnast whose artistic bent led her to pursue a degree in architecture.

On Facebook, Amber Long listed herself as a fan of Death Cab for Cutie and Jethro Tull. She posted dozens of photos from a semester abroad in Rome in 2010 - images of the Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon.

Her profile photo shows her smiling next to her mother.

"The challenges in life feed into my ambition," she wrote on a LinkedIn profile.

Police remained at the scene most of the day Monday, collecting surveillance footage from a camera posted outside the Urban Youth Racing School, just feet from where Long and her mother were attacked.

Matt Ruben, the president of the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association, described the crime as an "outrage to the sensibility of the community."

"It shatters your peace mind for a time," he said.

He said crime has dropped in Northern Liberties in recent years.

The 900 block of Front Street, spliced by I-95, is still a place where there are "fewer eyes on the street," he acknowledged.

It is not in the center of the neighborhood. It's less populated. And it's bisected by the expressway overpass.

"Development is going on, but it's starting from a place where there wasn't a lot there," Ruben said.

As dusk neared Monday, Barbara Mendenhall, 30, walked her dog past the spot where Long was killed.

She rarely walks alone down Front Street at night. It is desolate, she said. You have to be aware.

Gina Allen, who lives in Liberty Gates, an apartment complex very close to where Long was killed, said that before Sunday night she had felt secure in the neighborhood.

Now, she is shaken.

"It's scary and sad," she said.

NBC refers to decades of Soviet communism as ‘pivotal experiment’; Spit-takes ensue [video]

......................................................................................................................
Twitchy ^ | 8 Feb 2014

Earlier today, Garry Kasparov accused NBC Sports of pushing Putin propaganda. This latest downplay of decades of communism probably won’t make Kasparov change his mind about the network that’s airing the Sochi Olympics.

Many viewers of the opening ceremony couldn’t believe their ears when the narrator referred to decades of Soviet-era communism as a “pivotal experiment”:

Wow. There’s downplaying, and then there’s downplaying. Did Putin get to personally edit NBC’s scripts?

What’s next for NBC?

Update: Here’s a Vine video of the “pivotal experiments” narration:

George Zimmerman flees Miami after being accosted on beach and $10,000 bounty put on his head

The Daily Mail Online ^
| February 18, 2014 | Daily Mail Reporter

George Zimmerman has fled Miami after being chased by a crowd and told there is a $10,000 bounty on his head.

He abandoned his home with his family moments after a TV interview with CNN the next morning.

Zimmerman, 30, appeared on CNN on Monday to accuse President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder of making him a 'scapegoat'.

It has emerged his words came hours after infuriated protesters ambushed him, his girlfriend and her son on the beach.

Speaking on national television to Chris Cuomo, he revealed he still receives death threats seven months after he was acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin.

He said he suffered a 'miscarriage of justice' in his trial for the killing of the Florida teen, and maintains that he acted in self-defense within the law.

When Cuomo asked him what he was being made a scapegoat for, he responded: 'The government, the president, the attorney general....

Zimmerman said that he has had death threats since the trial, which he put down to his portrayal in the media and not his shooting of a teenaged boy.

Zimmerman told Calderón that he can no longer lead a normal life and must wear a bullet-proof vest when he is out in public.

Describing himself as 'totally homeless,' Zimmerman said his family helps him 'a lot.'

UPDATE: Police Say Man Randomly Sucker Punching People Not Part Of 'Knockout Game'...

Cambridge Police: Mass. Ave. Sucker Puncher Not Part Of ‘Knockout Game’

February 17, 2014 1

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Cambridge police say the man wanted for sucker punching at least three people over the weekend is not part of a disturbing national trend known as the ‘ knockout game.’

The series of unprovoked attacks happened in broad daylight Saturday afternoon between Massachusetts Avenue and Trowbridge Street.

In this first incident, according to a Cambridge police report, a man told officers he was walking towards Central Square when the suspect walked “directly towards him.”

Update:
Victims Of Attacks Speak Out

“He stepped to his left and the suspect mirrored that move. He stepped to his right and the suspect moved into his path once again. When the suspect was close enough, he punched (the victim) at least twice in the eye with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground,” the report stated.

The attacker then took off towards Harvard Square and hit two more men.

In the third incident, the suspect sucker punched the victim in the head, right after he left BoConcept furniture. That attack was captured on the store’s surveillance video.

The store owner told WBZ-TV he actually helped victims number two and three.

“We ran out to help (the third victim), brought him inside. This guy had a bruised ear and cheekbone. He was going ballistic. Then the previous victim came in. We helped him, too. He had a big fat lip,” BoConcept owner Anthony Goodh said Monday.

Minutes earlier, the suspect had apparently been inside the Garden at The Cellar Restaurant, where he allegedly tried to punch the chef, Brandon Arms.

“Brandon was out here, and (the suspect) took a swing at him. Brandon shoved him away and started chasing him. He ran a little faster. I believe he chased him that way,” the restaurant owner, Steven Kapsalis, told WBZ.

There has been no arrest yet. One of the three victims had to be taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police have described the suspect as tall, black, in his mid-twenties wearing a black winter coat, a dark knit hat and blue jeans.

Investigators do not believe this was an example of the so-called “knockout game,” where people intentionally commit assaults, videotape them, and post them online.

“We believe at this point, that these assaults were not a case of “Knockout”, but a situation where an individual who was either under the influence or suffering from some type of mental illness was responsible for the assaults,” Cambridge Police Deputy Superintendent Jack Albert told WBZ in an email.

Teacher orders boy, 10, to remove Help for Heroes wristband worn in memory of Lee Rigby

..........................................................................
UK Daily Mail ^ | Mar 12, 2014 | Mark Duell

A teacher allegedly ordered a 10-year-old boy to take off his Help for Heroes wristband because it could cause offence.

Tracy Tew was shocked when her son Charlie was put on a report card at Maldon Primary School in Essex after he refused to take off the charity rubber bracelet sold to honour injured soldiers.

Charlie wears the wristband - bought at the Colchester Military Festival - in honour of murdered solider Lee Rigby and service personnel in his family, including his great-granddad and uncle.

'Could cause offence': Tracy Tew was shocked when her son Charlie was put on a report card at Maldon Primary School in Essex after he refused to take off the charity rubber bracelet sold to honour injured soldiers

Mrs Tew, 38, a domestic service assistant at a hospital, said: ‘We are really proud of Charlie for sticking to his guns. He wanted to keep it on and he didn’t agree with the reasons why he shouldn’t.

The mother of two added: ‘When the teacher said she was worried it was going to offend people, I thought it was disgusting. Our family are up in arms because we are all military minded.

‘With what happened with Lee Rigby, Charlie really wanted to wear a wristband.’

Drummer Rigby, 25, was killed by two Islamic fanatics in Woolwich, south-east London, in May last year. Michael Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, were jailed for the murder last month.

Headteacher Tracy Thornton insisted wearing wristbands is against the school’s jewellery policy.

She said: ‘They are not allowed to wear jewellery, and that includes wristbands, for health and safety reasons because they could get caught.

'When the teacher said she was worried it was going to offend people, I thought it was disgusting. Our family are up in arms'

Tracy Tew, mother

‘I can’t comment on what one particular teacher said, but for the general perspective of the school, the children are not allowed to wear jewellery except small silver studs and watches, which have to be taken off for PE.’

Bryn Parry, co-founder and CEO of Help for Heroes, told MailOnline: ‘A school's uniform policy is a matter for the principal and governors.

‘However, over 6million wristbands are proudly being worn in support of our wounded servicemen and women, including many wristbands on the frontline in Afghanistan.

‘We have not heard of a single health and safety incident connected to them, nor have we ever had a complaint that they are offensive.

‘We do also have a wonderful range of other items such as lapel badges for those who are keen to show their support for our wounded.’

Terry Sutton, Colchester president of the Royal British Legion - a separate charity to Help for Heroes - said he has never heard of anyone taking offence to wristbands backing military charities.

'It’s hard to see how the band would cause offence, except, I suppose, to the radical Muslim community'

Terry Sutton, Royal British Legion in Colchester

He said: ‘It’s hard to see how the band would cause offence, except, I suppose, to the radical Muslim community. I don’t think that will be a problem in Colchester and in its surrounding area.

‘Help for Heroes bands are something young people in particular have latched onto and it’s great, as a former serviceman, to see them showing their support.’

The school has around 400 pupils aged between four and 11. In its last Ofsted report in January 2013, it was rated as 'good' overall - an improvement from 'satisfactory' in the previous inspection.
