Was Dale guilty of what he is being accused of doing? I think he was suspended in the recent past for other actions so perhaps patience with him had expired? If he was innocent it's not a good outcome but if he was guilty of what he is accused of doing, I can see how it would be hard for SI to just ignore it.

Very sorry to see that SI decided that it was appropriate to ban Dale Baker from SI. I have known Dale since he first started posting on SI, many years ago, and found him to be one of finest gems on this or any thread anywhere. As someone who made a very nice living in the venture capital and investment banking area, I cannot understand for the life of me why you would take such action (on what certainly appears to be superficial comments), it would seem certain that your actions will do you more harm than good. I can only say that I wish Dale the best of luck in his new endeavors, whatever they may be. And a special thanks to Dale Baker for his outstanding contributions to the many followers of his thread on SI. Such GEMS as Dale are rare indeed, and I am proud to have known someone as special as Dale. Thanks again for your many contributions Dale. Maybe someday I will be able to comprehend SI's actions, but I doubt it very much. Debra
