The reason I described Skyworks as doing reasonably well is that their March quarter is being driven by non-mobile growth. They stated that growth in mobile will follow historical seasonality. That is at a time when Skyworks is picking up quite a bit of content per mobile unit due to the number of LTE bands in many handsets (particularly the iPhone).

I dont know whether the VZ results are representative of US mobile sales and the Kantar data is polling data rather than anything official. The question is if this provides a real look at the underlying mobile sales in the developed markets. I dont have an answer, but these numbers are definitely not what I expected heading into the quarter.
