I could not agree with you more jallen.

It is amazing to me how many republicans are completely ignorant of, or choose not to believe that democrats are at war with us. I've seen it first hand from average citizens to prominent leaders at campaign rallys and precinct meetings. These people oooozzzzzzzzzz with quixotic silence.

I am not ashamed to say I am not one of them, and my suggestions that we defend ourselves and give back to democrats what they've thrown our way is soundly rejected every time.

I believe there are several explanations for this. One is that republicans are more honest, trusting and because they were raised with traditional values, they are nicer people. Another is out of a deep desire to make our system work. And yet another is the numerous examples (that we've ignored for too long) that suggest at it's core, the republican party is only interested in power. I too believe in honesty and trustworthiness and would never stray from those values, but I also recognize when I'm being played, and I am not the kind who will stand idly by and let it continue.

War or not, there does come a point when a person has to stand up and defend his beliefs.

In my view republican party leaders are either deluded into thinking all they have to do is respect their opponents ideology and everything will work out just fine, or they must be patient and wait for the moment when they seize the reins of power. (I'm hard pressed to see few if any distinctions between the way republicans and democrats run this nation............especially as far as social matters are concerned.)

I have to give republicans this................they are tenacious in how they doggedly cling to the notion that in order for this experiment to be successful democrats are actually willing to work things out. Although at this juncture it's quite obvious that the democrat party is really the socialist party, and in the words of its leader believe America needs to be fundamentally transformed. As this becomes more apparent, I like to think that perhaps we've entered a period of Great Awakening?

And then there is the democrat party poster boy Andrew Cuomo, who's comments are the true message of what resides in the heart of the democrat party. If only they could just remove us. We are in the way, and the only solution is to banish us out of existence so we'll never have the ability to get in the way of their progressive agenda again.

Where are the republican leaders that should be denouncing his comments? Why have they not spoken out against this ridiculous and divisive notion that some of us are more equal than others? And most of all, why do they continue to allow hateful democrats get away with framing the narrative in this country? Are they scared that they will be vilified and ruined if they speak out? I say yes they are! This is how much power the democrat party holds over us. So much power that if a person stands up and strays from the party line he will rue the day he did. It doesn't matter if it is one individual or a whole contingent of people, socialists will attack them and destroy them. In that regard I understand why republican leaders remain silent.

Thankfully our founders were courageous men made out of a different kind of cloth.

It is not hard to understand that democrats consider republicans the enemy; they are evil and must be eliminated. The proof is everywhere. Just talk frankly with any democrat friend. They never direct their fear of republicans at you personally, but in so many words they will tell you the republican party is evil. How clever and insulting. And why any one of us would tolerate such disrespect is shameful. I used to just take that kind of trash talk with nary a word in my defense, but not anymore. I let them know those are fighting words, and if they insult my party, they insult me.

It doesn't take a genius to recognize the reticence of the republican party in general encourages democrats to continue with this tactic. So why do we continue to allow it? Because we do not want war, so we silently move among them with our tails between our legs hoping against all odds that the people will rise up and defend us because of our good intentions.

Out of a sense of frustration and desperation the TP was born. Regular citizens who value our traditions of equality and fairness had no choice but to rise up. They realize that instead of relying on a party that has strayed from the core principles that made our nation great something had to be done.

I have no doubt democrats will do what ever it takes to destroy us. With very few exceptions, I have little to no expectation that the leaders of the republican party will rally to our defense. We've seen proof of that. We are reaching the point of desperation, and in the smarmy world of politics conservatives are alone, but if we don't fight back now.......by any means possible.........we will lose this war.

We must make a decision. Are we going to fight, or are we going to surrender?

It is up to each and every one of us.

It is a mistake I think not to reply with the same venom and vitriol we see spewed by the left

On other threads I've seen TimF, lately Jorj, (anyone remember Neocon?) expend considerable effort to patiently and thoroughly explain realities to some of the confident incompetents. I admire their gentlemanly demeanor, but have a hard time following their example. Breaking the name calling protocols prevalent doesn't seem to achieve much at all.
