Hooray for ElM: <Meanwhile building Safaricom Digital City in Nairobi.> Just yesterday, a couple of blokes installed optical fibre in the Zenbu office at Mount Maunganui. The future arrived [still to be connected]. Better late than never. It has been in Japan for decades. It's only 100 mbps, not gigabit, so we are still like a Hicksville cow paddock, but it's progress.

The Cyberspace realm is reaching into corners all over the planet, with wireless filling in many gaps and Globalstar gearing up to fill in more. It's just getting going too.

I missed out on all of that. My offspring are aging and missed out too. But their children are enjoying the benefits. Lucky blighters.
