>>elimination of liquids-stripping for the wells that produce NGLs in basins where the NGL prices are depressed.

Note there has recently been a sharp uptick in propane prices (for obvious reasons - heavy demand for crop drying and now the cold spells) and also in ethane prices (for completely unclear reasons).

I have not lost interest in O&G stocks. I am still mostly in energy stocks. As far as the coal to gas switching I suspect there are some good analyst reports available that show the marginal cost of different coal plants. I am waiting to see how all this plays out as I think sooner or later there will be a period where demand gets a good jump on ng production.

Meanwhile we have all these coal plant closures over the next few years. More gas fired generation will be built to meet this loss of coal generation.

Right now I am seeing really strong electricity prices across the North east that tell me we have something changing in the markets. I get a sense we are lining up to see some tighter supply over the next few months. A hot summer would be helpful.

In any event I dont think the markets value production in NA adequately. The religion of peace will take large volumes of oil production offline sooner or later.
