"In my family it is "right" and "good" to denounce religious bigots as atheist ideologues who would sell their Mothers if it was in their self interest. Something wrong with that?"

Obviously not from your viewpoint. But THANKS for proving my point that moral values differ from family to family, community to community, and culture to culture!. Of course, if you had ever stepped into a Nazi rally or an Eckankar meeting or a Republican planning session...you would not have been so confused about these matters! Let us point out some of the silliness in your actual family value, though.

Many people would disagree with you that religious bigots are atheist ideologues. Simply because it is irrational. Most religious bigots are religious! Hello! That is why religious factions are killing one another this very second as I type and as you read. RELIGIOUS BIGOTS?? YOU BETCHA!!! On the other hand, atheism is a naked belief that god does not exist. So pairing atheism with ideology is gratuitous at best.

But you say your family has a personalised and subjective point of view that is particular to your family values and your in-house moral training? So you DO understand how relative these matters are, don't you?!
