Yes, I see the markets are down, but not as much as one might expect. This is a crazy market with a lot of retirement money going into it. I'm not sure if it is possible to break this bull market. Something would have to get people to cancel their payroll deductions going to the retirement accounts, I guess, before we can have a sustained drop.

S&P is now down 9.9 pts to 960.60

I'm still short, but I'd like to be short more than one, but the UK is still too strong. That may indicate that buying will come into the US markets early on any dips. Humm, maybe I'll go long a little later . . . of course, I've got to get out of this trade first. I'll be disappointed if I don't get at least 960 for it, but to have any size winning trade would be nice.

Bonds are up 7 pts again. Everyone is buying US bonds for safety. I'll be keeping an eye on that, too.

I'm still short one s&p. This market is zipping around. I will probably only hold for a brief period this morning or should I cover now? Yeah, I'll try to cover now. Ooops, too late. The night session is closed.

I covered my short around 960.50. I'm still waiting for my fill so I'm not sure exactly where I'm filled. I still expect this market to go lower, but who knows. I decided to cash in some chips and relax a little. Maybe I'll look for a beat up small-cap to trade. I will probably short the s&p, again, on any significant ralley- even though I wouldn't be surprised if we already saw the "ralley".

dow -85.04
dec s&p 962.00

I'm going to be trading March s&p's from here on. You can't get the proper fills on Dec now since the leading month has changed to Mar.
