Apparantly a sell-off was triggered by Merrill's downgrade of nine semi equipment stocks, including UTEK. I don't put a whole lot of faith in sell-side research, so a 10-20 % discount in stock prices seems excessive to me. Having said that, Robert Stern's (Merrill's) specific recommendation regarding UTEK was a lowering of his long-term rating to "accumulate" from "buy". (In the intermediate term he remains neutral.) So what's the big deal anyway?

I bought some more UTEK this morning. I know its not safe to try to "catch a falling knife", but I couldn't resist. I keep focusing on the $8 or so per share in cash and the other wonderful things about the Company we all know so well.

Thanks to all participants on the thread for the interesting and valuable comments.
