But I stopped begrudging "The Decision" when it occurred to me, that when he did that, he was 25 years old! I did a lot of stupid stuff when I was 25 that I wouldn't do now.
That's no excuse. 25 is a pretty experienced age, especially for basketball stars.

Anyway, I'm not going to take this too much farther than I should. Sports needs its villains, just like pro-wrestling. What LeBron did was turn from "face" to "heel."

Kind of like Richard Sherman. A great guy, a great player, even a good writer, but with that crazy post-game adrenaline-pumped interview, he has made himself into a sports villain. (Which ironically is great publicity for him, but for now, he really screwed up in the sportsmanship department.)
