Global Warmmongers have checklist mentality too, and have even gone with computers doing the checklists for them as I suggested for airliners. The Settled Scientists plug in their check-list to the computers and accept whatever comes out, after torturing and molesting the data to ensure they get what the Mann Made Warmists want. The Settled Scientists have check-list mentality, dogma, fixed thinking and get angry if anyone thinks for themselves, telling them that they are ignorant nobodies who should not try to think but should accept the Priesthood's encyclicals and catechism as holy writ. They do the appeal to authority, the ad hominen "you only think in 2 dimensions" silliness, the "we are a consensus", and all the rest we have seen from them for years. Unfortunately for them, they are not actually in charge of a totalitarian society so have to persuade people that they are right, which they have totally failed to do, especially now that reality has not been persuaded and has shown Michael Mann to be the Jerry Sadunsky of Climate Change. Reality is the final arbiter of whether data has been properly handled in accordance with natural laws and cannot be accused of defamation as reality just does what it does and no judge can find reality guilty of breaching the climate models or even good taste. Reality doesn't care. It's indifferent. Michael Mann's computer algorithmed and climate modeled manipulation of data, including hiding the decline, did not trick reality which totally ignored the computer model extrapolation envelopes and is right now dropping out the bottom of all the computer models which despite molesting and manipulating data within an inch of its life could not come up with the right answer, as demonstrated by reality. It's a travesty, but the truth. If the Global Alarmists would think outside the box, beyond their slogans, past their cliches and checklists, they might more closely approach the truth. Consensus "Settled Scientists" bear the same relationship to Einstein, Feynman and Popper as a naughty weekend with a prostitute does to marriage, and the product of their prostitution was the unfortunate climate model bastard which has failed totally to match reality.
