That is because you were and are too insensate and simple to have any empathy for the victims of human sacrifice. Most cultures at one time or another in the dark past sacrificed sons and/or daughters to appease invisible (and very much imaginary) Commanders in Chief. But much of humanity wants to get past that superstitious and very STUPID nonsense.
