OFF Topic - Sal, would you happen to know how much Asian exposure does
YHOO have?

>>>Scott, I've always said that simply looking at P/E ratios is the wrong way
to make investment decisions.

BTW, YHOO is THE stock to buy if the market dips.

On the other hand, I've been saying for months that these inflated P/Es on tech stocks had them cruisin for a bruisin. After all, the Internet can only be a hot story for so long. Most of us have the short attention spans of the TV generation. This in spite of the fact that the Internet is going to show great growth for years. Just not great enough for those giant P/Es, even forward P/Es. (What granddaddy used to call counting your chickens before they hatch.)

Well, so far I've been right on some and wrong on others, notably the rocket-like Yahoo. I made some money shorting Netscape at 55. Lost my ass shorting Yahoo. etc. But I think the rest of these stocks are still just waiting for the first good crack in the bulkhead to tumble. This Asian economic crisis could be it.

Sorry to say so, of course. It would be way better for me were it not so.
