>Go on line and see what docs in your area are members of Medicare....the Medicare website is very good...
And if your mother was trying to get an appointment with a specialist, she can expect to wait 2 months.... I have been with my gastro guy for about 25 years and still wait 2 months for an office visit.....if I have an emergency, he sends me to the ER.

Well, right, but if Medicare went away a bunch of billionaires would step in, and either pay for all of your healthcare, and they would, because of their billionaire magic, spend less than the government. Or, better yet, they'd use their saved Medicare taxes to create a job for you so that you could work till you die and pay for your own insurance.

No specialist appointment, she just had a fever that was two days old.
I used medicare.gov, looked for a GP, withing ten miles of Little Rock (population 200k) that accepts the medicare approved amount and will not gouge my mother for more. Only ten doctors came up. You try it.

Good luck when you call one of them.

The politicians are destroying the medical system, just as they have everything else they have touched.
