Jim: I realize that, as I'm in 3rd place, changing the rules right now would probably benefit me the most, I still believe that changing rules in mid-stream is not the thing to do. If we want to make changes anything like you described, lets wait until next season, and initiate the changes before the first round of playoff games.

There's my $.02 on that subject,
Bill

I'm good with it either way Jim, but that does sound like a lot more work.

one other options, pick ALL playoff picks before the wild card games, all the way to the end. Similar to March madness, if your picks keep going you keep racking up points. Once your team loses, you lose out for as many games as you took them beyond that.

My first inclination was to reject my own suggestions based on injuries that may arise, etc. But then I realized that these happen in basketball too, and no one that I have ever heard has had an issue with it when it comes to bracket buster picks !!

I agree. Unlike the regular season where many would have a chance, post season it's usually down to 2.

It would be nice to be able to get additional points. Picking the exact score is a long shot, almost as difficult as going 16-0 during regular season. Maybe getting less than 20 points for the person closest to the final score. I do like the idea of the spread as well. Points could be 20-10-5.

Keep as simple as possible.
