In a word, the public needs to accept materialism, which means that they must put God (whom Lewontin calls the "Supreme Extraterrestrial") in the trash can of history where such myths belong. Well, thats a bit harsh though it is the inevitable outcome, at least for now there should be cooperation of all moderates on problem solving , like or not this is the New Age of global economy & global interdependence. Education & knowledge will be the great equalizer, here the Internet information flow is key force opposing social & religious extremism and accountability for the political demagoguery thats associated with each.
