Hi Bill, The French word for silver is "Argent" as well isn't it? I have always wondered why the French language has been called a Romance Language, because when we were in Paris I would have called it the "RUDE" Language.:-) I don't know what their problem is, but it's too bad, because they have such a beautiful country. You can't keep using the excuse that it's because they have so many tourists, because many countries have huge tourism and manage to figure out that tourists bring big bucks to the economy. Their rudeness is legendary. Almost any travel article, or travel agent, will warn you about this factor. You need thick skin over there. But what a beautiful place! I guess you can't have it all.
