Talked to Barry this morning and (if I'm remembering the folks right) he talked to the company's lawyer who talked to the company's accountants and it is expected that the company's financials (96 10K and 4 10-Q's up to and including 3rd qtr 97) will be completed by the middle of January. I think that'll bring them back to full reporting status, provided they also get the 97K and 4th qtr Q out within the alloted time. I don't remember off the top of my head how long is alloted for last qtr Q and K, but it's longer than is alloted for Q's for qtrs 1-3. For some reason, I'm thinking 90 days? In any event, it is ARET's intention to be a fully reporting company soon. Looks like it's been on the front burner for the company, although the accounting firm seems to be treating it like most accounting firms treat the Q's and K's of penny stocks. Question: Do penny stocks typically participate in the "January Effect"? I only started investing in December of 96, and wasn't aware of the January Effect until March or thereabouts. So, I think what we've got to look forward to presently is either winning or losing the Fluor-Daniels bid in the next 30 days (if I'm estimating correctly based on when it was submitted), financials getting out, and BusinessWire getting used. Also possibilities of other news. They're not sitting on their hands waiting for the FD project. Purely conjecture on my part, but I believe it to be pretty accurate. Of course, Barry can neither confirm nor deny the accuracy of these estimates.
