(really ?)"....* Do I detect a certain presumption and cynicism in your communication Metacomet ? Not quite the "name calling" that epicure regarded as unacceptable. As things stand, and as I referred to in my second last post, I am hoping to elicit a fair degree of response from a cross section of opinion. There has, already, been a collection of thought provoking replies on both boards. What that eventually and collectively conveys may very well have influence or bearing or even change, to some extent, whatever is my current opinion on the subject. The one thing that I do believe will always have a most important bearing on the successful outcome of any country's economy and individual wealth is the aspect of Education. In my opinion, and from the commentaries I've heard in recent times, both your country and mine have declined in that regard, compared to where they were a few generations ago.
