NG is very fickle. Yes its cold, but there is still too much of it in the US and the export infrastructure is not there yet. See propane for an idea of what will happen when the NG export infrastructure finally catches up to are excess supply. Or maybe it won't play like that because other areas around the globe are starting to jump on the fracking bandwagon.

US short on propane despite producing record amounts because of growing exports:

Re freezing, should soon warm up as the lunar calendar had done a pretty good tracking of the seasons.

We started the lunar year break and are in revolutionary Thailand. We transitted bangkok and all seemed quite well.

Quite warm here on Koh Samui.

As I was fearful that the people's council may take over before we hit the transit lounge and cause a food shortage, had to suffer alternative to airline food ... Do not know what the world is devolving toward ... Now have to box lunch for air travel? What's next, bring own champagne?

The airline staff asked whether I still wanted to choose amongst chicken, fish, or beef.

No, I did not feel remotely like Anthony Hopkins in that movie about exotic eats.

But yes, did have to settle for plastic fork so as to get in touch w/ the masses :0)

The goodies from American alaska, Iranian Black Sea, and Russian waters went well w/ the French effort, all while overflying some future china air exclusion zone over South China Sea.

May you and all on the thread enjoy a healthy happy and prosperous year of the horse. Suspect the year shall prove quite interesting.

Cheers, tj

>>UGAZ add +30% more, no brainer with this cont'd freeze people will be in shock to see their bills<<

I doubt residential customers are much affected by the NG spot price, since their utilities generally have long-term contracts. Still, many will have extra-high bills because of increased usage during the cold weather.

LPG is in very short supply, and some rural customers are getting gouged on tank refills.

Electical utilities in certain tight markets like NYC have briefly paid astronomical prices (up to 10 x spot price!) on the NG spot market to keep their turbines running.

US natural gas is still reasonably priced on an historical basis, with the spot price just below the 10-year (520-week) moving average...
