" I'd bet a lot of that from the journalists consisted of them going to their editors, asking for funding for some investigative journalism, and being turned down. But now that the bridge thing has turned the spotlight on Christie, the taps are open. It's NEWS! After Watergate, a lot of press operations funded investigative fishing. Today, unless you've got a smoking gun, a rumor just won't be funded.
