Last time I checked, southern California feeds the entire country. Why do you wish American's to starve or face much much higher food costs? Also, a rate payer subsidy would indirectly help keep the cost of food stamps down, helping those you wish to help. Surely all good democrats would be in favour?

They vote for people who cover their precious butts with crop insurance, That farm subsidy payola (which should be abolished) goes primarily to wheat and corn farms in the midwest, very little, if any, goes to CA agriculture.. but deny assistance to their unemployed field hands. Yes, unemployed because the crops and fields died to save some stupid little fish. And the Mexicans are stupid enough to vote for the greenies who are screwing them. Takes all kinds..
