That is true but when you are managing other people's money you are a bit more cautious. Most people are taking a haircut if they have mutual funds especially. Still up in my IRA 50% year over year. People can say what they want about timing the market but I am only invested when the green light is on, not in caution or red modes. In order to make money in this market of stocks you have to be nimble and take your profits. Find good small cap undervalued companies that the market hasn't recognized yet and hold those until they get discovered by the market. That is the key to my success in my investing over the past twenty five years.
