One of the greatest essays ever written. Truly the Shakespeare of the common man. Especially part 2: so many wise and powerful sound bites. there is no power of argument greater than truth. Ingersoll holds a mirror up to the ridiculous and the superstitious and shows them their own eyes and what lies hidden in their tiny mental engines. One acquires more wisdom in 2 hours with Ingersoll than spending a year in a classroom. What I wouldn't give to hear the man himself speak his lectures. But unfortunately, we must make do second-hand...
