"Meanwhile the next window of opportunity is coming fast: The 2014 congressional elections."

If (D)'s lose the Senate, we'll be damn glad we have Obama where he is.

Ron, he could have done much more than he did, not withstanding the congress.

I think he could have broken up the banks (which must be done) and done some prosecution of Wall street and the torturers.. He took over the car companies and that really worked out well. That did not require congress.

As well he did not need to extend the Bush tax cuts. That was a travesty. That did not require congress.

Those banks must be broken up. Only four or five banks now control something like 80% of the banking in the country. Those bankers are now too big to fail and jail.

Look at what JP Morgan has gotten away with.

Who is going to break up the banks? They are engaging in more dangerous behavior than before the depression as you well know with the trillions of unregulated hedge fund transactions that all takes place in the dark.

Look at the number of his executive actions (record low #) , or his attitude toward the unions e.g. Wis.

And he had the power to prevent the top 1% from getting 95% of all the wealth. And what was the deal with Summers nomination to the fed idea?

I just started watching Rachel and she just echoed a large part of this post i.e. what did he really say about income inequality in his state of the union? Not much. All he talked about was small economic ideas.

I hope I am wrong but I expect him to play as safe a game as he can for the next few years and just get out. I think he is tired and has no fire in his belly to start a big fight with the plutocrats which we must make.

I expect very little over the next three years.

And why does Kathleen Sebelius still have a job?

I hope I am wrong!
