Emerging, worsening case for the US: weak retail sales
coupled with stock market selloff. The consequences of
a "Grinch Selloff" is that retailers, and the wholesale
pipeline, get caught with excess inventory which must then
be discounted. Deflation in the US,anyone? Might just be
disinflationary but the warning indicator is approaching
the red zone. BWDIK.
