I propose to fine tune the gap rule to as follows.

1. Stock price must close 30% or more below previous close.
2. Stock price must gap during the day (usually at open) a minimum of 20%.

By these rules MMGC qualifies, SSAX does not. I deferred to the master on MMGC. You can read Doug's answer, just posted on 56 thread. This is a gray area. I think the above parameters will give us significantly more candidates, and I believe the underlying principle is not compromised using these guidelines.

I think we need a bigger stable to generate enough signals to test the animal. The signals have not been abundant with the ones we have so far. Also I feel the -30% close says at least as much about the cat's behavior as the opening gap.

Another ugly day on the market. OTH, more kittens? Every cloud has a silver lining....
