Sonki- Re: AMAT, Intc

You & me both re: mkt. timing; Don't know about Sunw, but Amat is STILL a long-term buy accdg. to ML, whose downgrade whacked the price today. May get in @ $26-27, bgt 200 @ $35 a month ago. Heard thru good source that NCR (big ATM business) has nice potential in '98, low end stk price now, loads of cash in its coffers? Any thoughts? Do you still like NVLS? Apparently VVUS' drug can get it up, but they can't get the product out.

Re: INTC- '98 will be there for us, buy, hold, convert the warrants, IMO. It will be our core holding for yrs. to come.

Regards, Royco

I think the Oct98 estimate is what is coming into question.

Cos w/ rock solid Es are getting even higher P's. S. Korea simply isn't gonna be getting financing for new equipment for a while. And to spend heavily in the semiconductor area w/big overcapacity and prospect of Asians dumping at very low dollar prices is gonna strike many as unwise. Including in USA.

Just my 2C.
