** CNBC Report **

About 10 minutes ago David Farber mentioned that Merril Lynch had downgraded some semi equip stocks. NVLS and AMAT were mentioned.

It looks like it's deja-vue debacle all over again....

Today is my birthday. So I'll mourn tomorrow. AMAT is now behaving like it has announced. My guess is it must be going to. It has a similar set of clients to KLIC and is even more exposed ot SEA as measured as % of rev.

Hi Richard, No I don't buy the arguement. Companies in tight circumstances tighten their belts and hope for better times. The money is simply not there for expansion. To think AMAT will benefit from this crisis is wishful thinking.

Because I cant time the market I am buying on this big diip. I expect the stock to go lower, much lower. I will buy again then. Call it dollar averaging on the decline.

The one thing that I feel confident about is that this great company, a leader in this techinical revolution, will rise again when this cycle is over. I own the stock, I can wait

Regards,

Lester e.
