It's been a long time, but I remember a little more. I entered Rock Creek Park from Massachussets Ave. It was about a mile from Wisconsin and Massachussets. If you turn right, you head towards the Lincoln Memorial (left is Maryland) about a mile before that, there was a place where these women sun bathed on a Saturday afternoon, reading a book, wearing a sexy outfit, just dying to be picked up. I don't know what the scene is today. I know what it was in the mid to late 1970s. Also, I went to this place on 18th and K, I think (could be wrong), it was called the K street salon, a few blocks from GW. It was a high end go go joint. I say high end because most of the men wore jackets and ties and were lawyers, doctors, etc. My friend took me there during happy hour on a Friday and I picked up this girl Iris (actually she picked me up) and had a great time. When I returned the next night, another dancer told me she OD on heroine. I was shocked. I had no idea she even did that stuff. The place probably doesn't exist anymore. I have a good friend who lives in Silver Spring so I go to DC once in a blue moon with him. Otherwise, I've ridden the Metro from the Crystal City station to National's Park. I've jogged on the outskirts of Arlington National Cemetery.
