Mohan, pete will get on my case for being so gloomy and tell me to have fun-g-(bread &circus)-g- I feel there are too many imbalances in the world (debt, capacity, trade) to reverse course and control our destiny to any significant degree. The world is in for some pain the extent to which we are willing to take responsibility or blame others may determine the course of the future. I have mentioned this before somewhere on SI but it BEARS repeating that in the 20's the world stock mkts and economies fell one at a time. Mike

<<<"traders" who are selling now don't have the faintest idea about the long-term prospects for their beloved stocks.>>> Many of these people are so in love with their "beloved stocks" that they have hocked their, house, the car, the wife to buy more on margin. Now they are getting margin calls, hocking grandma and screaming their guts out. Case in point PAIR. People were saying you will never be able to buy it again at 30. Today u can buy all U want at 18. The margin call pain must be excruciating.
