Well, I guess we will see. Some day the dipsters may be sitting there with a sick feeling as the market goes below their buying point, stays there, and then drops some more. To judge from the rapidity with which holders of IRAs and other retirement funds were willing to shift out of equities during the last drop, everyone might run to the same side of the boat at once as soon as a trend seems clear.

I was speaking anyway of a 1000-point drop over a two-week period--pretty slow in comparison with some other market breaks.
