These same people expected $55 in earnings during FY2013.

51 Analysts, 39.99 high, 38.87 low, 39.40 consensus. Reported was 39.75. investing.businessweek.com

While analysts work has value, picking the turn is very very hard. I doubt that the analyst consensus will be see a dramatic downturn in earnings before Apple itself projects it.

I'm confident the price action will telegraph it before either analysts or AAPL fess up.
