You misunderstood my post.

MSFT gave Apple a gift in terms of a multi-million dollar loan, in the 1990's when Scully was running the company & was on his way out when Jobs negotiated the loan.

That loan kept Apple alive and allowed them to do what they do best, which is to go after the educational & design markets.

I'm not talking about the Xerox research center ... or any of the ideas that Job's may have copied.

That is common knowledge.
