In the short term, devaluation of Korean/Asian currency will also result in cheaper semis, exerting further margin pressure on US production. Also, as you point out, major tech drivers - the semi eqps (AMAT, KLIC, the ASMs, LRCX, TER, PRIA, etc....) will suffer.

It may take a year or more (as you state) for the equation to stabilize.

Cautious times for all semis. On the TXN plus side, the slowdown in Asian semis means a longer time until DSP commoditization from Asia occurs.
