That has to rank as one, if not THE stupidest thing you've ever said and you say lots of stupid things. WOW!!! It sounds stupid to you because you are a DUMMKOPF!! It has these advantages: 1). Compared to traditional policy where the taxpayer/individual is PENALIZED by the theft of his labor...this solution incurs minimal cost and it provides wonderful jobs to a few skilled people who are already being paid in the military. 2). People always choose their own values (unless they are possessed by spirit guides or angels--as apparently you and your foolish pals are)! This solution ensures that people will LIVE with the values they have chosen rather than (as you admit) being rewarded for misdeeds at taxpayer expense. Remember that I am not suggesting that it would be appropriate for (say) a shoplifter or a grifter to suffer the same horrible fate as these serial killers and unconscionable butchers that (you admit) we currently reward. And we do not have the resources to implement the imagination of a Dante where circle after circle of "Hell" is made available to these miscreants. You might come up with the foolish and irrational rejoinder that such a fate would permit the more degenerate, foul, and dominant to prevail in their chosen societal structure of living like brutes? But what of it? They ARE all brutes--and they have all made the choice freely. In such a rational society every killer would know his fate before choosing his values. And not to worry! People such as yourself would still circulate freely and safely in the primary culture! For it is no crime to be foolish or stupefied! True reality is the greatest blessing and the greatest punishment one can find. Too much fiddling ruins a stew--as Jesus said to his mom..
