I really don't usually blame drug addicts for their addictions anymore than I would blame a cancer patient for his/her cancer. There is a small percentage of the population which, if exposed to (insert drug name here) will become addicted to it.

This case is among the most egregious, but I have seen drug addiction and it is not the fault of the addict. And it really isn't the small-time dealer's fault that this insane war on drugs has made selling dope the only way they can make a living because they've all got prior felony convictions.

There really isn't anyone to blame in this situation.
