Good to see you don't dispute the facts that dispel his market share misconception.


Of course, Apple's iPhone unit market share is declining. We can dispute the importance of that number but it is an absolute fact.

I tend to view it as being necessary for Apple to maintain a minimum share in each market to keep iOS viable on a country by country basis. That is one reason why I like the reintroduction of the iPhone 4 so much.

When you state, "the net deferred revenue actually went down YoY", please source the information on which you base that statement.


The 10Q shows $1.6 billion in net deferred revenues in Q1FY13 vs. $1.4 billion Q1FY14. It seems that they recognized quite a bit more previously deferred revenue during this past quarter than a year ago.
