Would you commit a degenerate act such as murder if you knew with a certainty that you would be banished to live with your own kind? I wouldn't, but certain evil individuals would embrace that as both a challenge and a calling. You would be encouraging and rewarding them in their evilness. You'd of course get a kick out of that but normal people naturally want evil to be punished, not rewarded. You're funny that way...
