Maybe the AMD K6 ASP and earning after 2Q/98 won't be so bad as I though.

Ali's 100Mhz bus speed Alladin V chipset is priced very competitively at $28. These 100Mhz bu speed socket 7 chipset would boost the sales of K6-250,300,350,400Mhz significantly.

BTW, the Winstone97 benchmark rating would drop off 30% if the L2 cache on PII is disabled instead of 10~15% mentioned in the article.

Brian,

While Christmas shopping to day I stopped in a CompUSA store to look at their computers. At the store was a Compaq representative and she said that from what she has heard so far she expects to hear that Compaq will release K6 based desktops and laptops in January 1998.
