Thanks for the post. I didn't see this review as controversial. The review is correct in that it describes correctly what the authors have written. They discuss the success of the Mormons, the Nigerians, Indo-Americans, Jews. In support of their theory, they also bring in the African American, people from the Appalachian belt, the Amish etc. After reading the book, I better understood why folks like Romney said that he believes in immigration because they are the one's that produce and provide to the economy and not suck from it as is being portrayed. Notice how there is not much mention of Hispanics (Cuban Americans do not consider themselves as Hispanics). I don't think the authors wanted to deal with illegal immigrants and I commend them for it. I am sure the early immigrants to the US also displayed the traits and behavior mentioned in the book. I say so because that is what made this nation great. But then the folks who were their offspring a lost some of that grit and drive. You just have to look at America of the 1950's and today and you will the progressive decay in people's attitude. The book is just $11 on the Kindle.
