Do blooms kill krill??? What are the COLD facts.
The cold, hard facts are that will be insufficient Krill (zooplankton) unless populations of Phytoplankton increase.

Phytoplankton are the foundation of the Marine Food Chain. Zooplankton consume phytoplankton, which are then consumed by any number of fish and whales.

There is a damn good reason that ocean fish stocks are being depleted. We're over-harvesting them at the same time that their fundamental food sources are diminishing.

Solution?.. just as we fertilize our lawns, research and experimentation should be pursued to augment the necessary nutrients required to re-populate phytoplankton populations.

Benefit? Increased Marine populations (fish).. and reduced atmospheric CO2 levels.
