Rand Paul seems to be laying the groundwork for himself by attacking Hillary already... the base republican wingnuts love any attack on Hillary, no matter how frivolous

Rs don't give up easily.

That is my point. The Rs will pull him down, the Tea Partiers are angry since he did not fully back Romney's candidacy. Why would the Dems want to pull him down when they backed his re election just 3 months ago. When he got those Dem endorsements in September, it angered the Tea Partiers more.

I am glad to see Boehner break away from the Tea Partiers in the House in order to bring up the bill for unconditional extension for debt ceiling increase with the help of Democrats. I hope that after this Obama meets more frequently with Boehner and strengthen his hands.
