Thanks for that bit of sanity...

I agree I'd rather not have forking fumes in the warehouse...

It's hard to argue against using a fuel that makes your engine live many, many, many, many, many times longer... as the fuel isn't the only thing about a vehicle that costs money.

Agree with the rest, too...

Fuel cells... when they figure out how to make them robust enough that they can handle burning crappy low grade diesel fuel without a problem... should enable liquid fueled hybrids that produced electricity as the motive force... with all of the benefits of both liquid fueled and electric technologies.

Why is it taking so long ?

Hmmm. Well. They wouldn't meet the corporate economic criteria... for incrementally increasing and extending your level of dependence on any already established technology or grid ? Maybe that's it ?

Cars can be recharged in 15 seconds: <I really think the electric car/truck is doomed to niche applications until they can figure out fast charging technologies - like under 15 minutes.> Just pull one battery out one side while pushing the recharged battery in the other side. It should be just a 7 second job.

With such a fast recharge, it could be done frequently, which means less capital cost of battery and car, less battery weight, with less vehicle weight, improved fuel economy.

With Halo recharging when parked at home or office or elsewhere, there would be no need for inconvenient cables. Just park and walk away.
