Maybe YOU said that. But it wasn't the truth.
In HIS words, he was betting on America never setting foot in Baghdad and the war becoming an absolute quagmire.

Of course, he said his usual "I hope I'm wrong" disclaimer, but it's clear to me that he wanted to be right more than he wanted America to win because he didn't think we should have even been in Iraq.

So yeah, he wanted the Iraq war to be a failure.

How is that any different than TWY allegedly wanting economic collapse so that he can see the changes he wants to see in government?

Obama has retreated on everything from Iraq and Afghanistan to Iran's nuclear program and his “red line,” which Syria crossed and paid no price.

He has even retreated on domestic policy issues, most glaringly on the individual mandate in the misnamed Affordable Care Act.
