the arms index on the NYSE was 2.08 and on the nasdaq 3.05...maybe it'll come back up this afternoon.

Joan: One of the things that interested me was the potential for excess manufacturing capacity within the Chaebols. This evening CNBC noted that a chip-making plant was cancelled by a well known manufacturer. I also heard that they only expect GDP to drop by 2% in 98. However, I think the paramount issue is survival through 1997.
