Prudential also had negative comments today, particularly in regards to Korea and Japan. I think most other analysts will now pile on with downgrades. I am not sure whether Merrill or Pru got in the first blow. UTEK is also probably under pressure from the negative announcements yesterday by Seagate (closing a factory due to excess industry capacity) and Quantum (preannounced earnings disappointment--earnings likely to be about 1/2 Wall Street estimate).

For what it's worth, Prudential's analyst, Milind Bedekar, think's the market will anticipate a recovery from the Asian meltdown and start buying back into the group sometime during the first half of next year.
