1 x car with four moving parts [the wheels], one battery at 100 kg, 1 x Halo in the garage for cheap electricity overnight, 7 second battery swaps en route, Halo in parking places. Simple, cheap, effective, fast, safe. Requires imagination which is in short supply, unlike electricity, of which there's an infinite supply available. No melodrama needed.
